I ran "somewhere" for the first time!

Today was W7R3! And for the first time I ran with a purpose. We have six dogs (crazy I know) and this morning I set off about 25 mins before my husband and the dogs, did my usual five min warm up round the village green with my fellow c25k's (they're on week 3) and then set off for a local Country Park where I met up with hubby and the dogs in the car park. For the first time I had to deal with hills (flipping heck), stiles (4 of the damn things) and fields -it was GREAT!!!!!

My overal mileage was less than my usual street run, but in certain parts my speed was much faster (3.52 mins/km against 4.52 mins/km on Monday), I said goodbye to Laura and made up my own 25min track list, which possibly was a little bit too up tempo, but with my music in my ears, the sun coming up over the fields and a nip in the air it was magical!!

I am a runner lol

WW tomorrow, hopefully I meet my four stone target this week!

Sounds great, it's nice to mix up your routes and jumping over stiles sounds very energetic! Good luck for meeting your target at WW, 4 stones, that's seriously impressive :)

Oh that sounds lovely. I love running outside and jumping over stiles and all that stuff. Breath that fresh air and enjoy!

Sounds fantastic, it's specially nice for running now that there are the first hints of autumn in the air! I like your idea of doing your run to get somewhere and meet. It would certainly encourage you along the way. Well done for getting W7 nailed, too.

Wonderful! And also, you've made me feel ok that I've 'only' got three dogs! Hope you got to your target, wow! Maybe you might look at a bit of canicross with one or two of your canine buddies when you graduate? cani-cross.co.uk/ I keep going on about it cos I want some virtual canicross running buddies :-) I love it!

I've still got another four stone to go, this is 'just' halfway! I gave myself a target of four stone by the time we go on holiday - which is Saturday week, and six stone by Christmas!! I'm starting Pilates next week to improve my core stability, posture and flexibility, I cycle and go to aqua aerobics. Between all these activities and WW I'm hoping I can make it!
