W5R3 Cracked it second try!

I know I should have taken a rest day but yesterday's failure was bothering me and I couldn't help but to go out and give it another go. This time with my own music and at a much slower pace and I remembered to breathe properly. I cracked it! I cracked 20 minutes! Hurrah!

Congratulations!!! I must admit the music on the podcast isn't really my type either. I shall use your tip and create a playlist of my own for when i get to the longer runs stage. I'll be doing W5R2 tomorrow.

Woo-hoo! I knew you'd do it!!

How do your legs feel after 2 longish runs on two days like that? It would often fit my work routine much better to do runs on consecutive days and then have a 3 day break but I'm scared my legs fall off...

Well done anyway and welcome to W6!

If I'm honest I'm really feeling it today BUT then I do think that one of the reasons I didn't complete the run on Sunday was that I wasn't feeling 100%. Also I didn't sleep well last night (blame Andy Murray!) However I don't regret going out yesterday, just REALLY need the rest day today. If I was you I'd give it a go and see if it works for you. Listen to your body though and if there are any niggling problems it might be better to take the. Good luck.

Thanks - I might have a go sometime but only if I'm feeling really fit. I can't believe I just wrote that... me and fit!! What a difference a few weeks makes...

Andy Murray is THE BEST :-) :-)

Fantastic, well done Pelephant! I did it too today! Let's blast week 6 together! I'm going to do my own playlists from week 7 onwards - I need Laura speaking to me at the moment, but the music really is dire!!!

Week 6 here we come eh! Yes I'm going back to Laura for the first two runs of this week. It puts me off looking down at my phone the whole time but it's not too bad for a long run when you know roughly how many songs should be 20/25/30 minutes. Think I will try my own music from W6R3 ..... Good luck! Hold virtual hands?!

I listen to Laura on the day of my run for her advice but then I use a C25K app on my phone with a prompter and my own music. See you guys in Week 6, I'm doing run 2 tonight!

Congratulations!.

Doesn't it just feel amazing, not to mention a bit mind boggling that it's possible to progress so much in just a few short weeks.

Good luck with future runs and enjoy.
