Cracked it! couch to 5k training plan officially completed this morning. (Quietly ignoring the fact I’ve done 3 pukka 5k runs already). Next up: Bridge to 10k plan.

Excellent article. Thanks for the link. The sentiment matches my own thoughts. 5k is just the beginning. My immediate target is to stick to 5k runs at least until I get my times down to 30 minutes if I can before attempting to extend my distance. Currently I’m at around 37 minutes so still a way to go. I’m also hitting my 70th birthday in a few months so the last thing I want to do is spoil everything through unnecessary injuries or worse by overdoing things .
