So after false starts this morning I left determined to get through week 8 run 1. Did the same route round what I call the Duck pond of dreams and all was going well until the lovely Laura said well done you’ve done 10 minutes. I felt sure it was 15 so I told Laura to go away politely out loud (don’t think nobody heard me) and stopped running but this time it took literally 5 to 10 seconds to go no, this is not happening again and I ran once more and laughed at myself. I didn’t stop after that and then I did it. 28 minutes. Run 2 on Friday and you know what despite it all I think I’m going to do it
Cracked it: So after false starts this morning I... - Couch to 5K
Cracked it
Actually it will be run 2 on Saturday as tomorrow is Friday which is the rest day. Darn that bank holiday this week I even missed putting the bins out because of it.
That's amazing! Well done, I'm sure you're going to do it!! I'm glad I'm not the only one that talks to the trainer... 😉
You are indeed... very, very well done indeed... Head into the lovely long runs and let the legs find their happy pace; these longer runs are just perfect for relaxing into
Congratulations, not long now until you graduate, you can run round that duck 🦆 pond of dream's for your dream come true graduation run at the end of next week when they say the weather is to settle down to be nice, sunny and warm. 😊
Well done! I just did this run this morning too and like you when she spoke I could have sworn I had gone longer. On paper three extra minutes doesn't sound like much but it really was a mental block I was facing come the last 5.
😁 thanks all. It really gives me more momentum. One question. When you say run 5k in 30 minutes does this include the two 5 minute walk warm ups and downs
