I have DONE IT! Completed my final week 9 run today! Haven't managed 5k in 39 minutes yet, managed 4.47k on Tuesday and 4.31k today but I'm just going to keep on going and try and get my speed up a bit! Was slightly slower today as normally on my route I normally run 15 minutes down ad 15 back, today I ran for 30 minutes one way and encountered some hilly bits which really slowed me down.

Next thing after that is a sponsored 5k run for the British heart foundation on 16th September :)

Just want to thank everyone who posts on here because it really is so inspirational and motivating to read posts from people who are working through the plan too, I know I will definitely continue to visit and read them to keep me going xxx

Congratulations graduate! :) Your distance sounds pretty amazing to me. I've done 5K once so far, and that took me near on 50 minutes.

I'd like to do a run for the British Heart Foundation. I found them so helpful when my father was going through all sorts of horrors with his heart. Do they do many 5K runs, do you know?

Well done. You're fast!

Thanks guys!

Legion - if you search their events on the website it will show you all te rents they have planned, ours is in Plymouth and the year before last we did an 11 mile walk for them too in Exeter. Lost my dad to a heart attack when he was just 51 so do try and support them as much as I can. It's definitely worth having a look for runs in your area :)

Thanks meggyann. I've found a 5/10K next March that I like the sound of. Just got to pluck up the courage to sign myself up. ;) I also noticed a Bath to Bournemouth bike ride which sounded like it could be fun so going to investigate that now. :)
