Final run today W9R3 graduated 😁 My first run was Friday 1st May so it has taken me 13 weeks. Injury in second week delayed my progress. Still a slow runner 3.54k in 30 minutes. But I ran for 30 minutes so hopefully with family encouragement I will continue. I have not lost any weight I hope this will come soon, but feel better in myself for doing the exercise.

Without working from home I would never of been able to of managed this. I got back this morning and had someone message from work to say a zoom meeting in 15 minutes rushed around to be ready, couldn’t of done it if I had to go to the office. So one benefit for our new way of life.

Keep safe keep running and you will get there πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ˜

Very similar circumstances to me.... WFH and not wanting to be a total couch potato

I'd been used to swimming 3-4 times / miles a week so needed to do something

Also started early May and finished my C25K last Friday after I'd left my home desk

Similar times to me too... but then on Monday evening I went just that bit further

As Sarah Millican wasn't there with me, I just kept on running at my usual pace and cracked the 5K, albeit taking me just over 40 minutes. Keep up your good work & you'll get there too soon enough! Maybe the weight might start to come down too eventually ;)

Yes I think I will stick to 30 minutes next week but the aim is for 5K

Congratulations!

3.54k sounds awesome!

I kind of wonder what my distance will be when I get to the final week of doing just 30 minutes as up until now I've been starting my app at the start of the 5 minute warm up and stop it at the end of the 5 minute warm down.

Maybe I'll see if I can borrow my partners phone so I can start it just as the 30 minute run starts just to compare how my average changes to what I've been doing.

I'm similar to you. I've got one more to go before finishing Week6 and I started more than 6 weeks ago (I ended up stopping after W2R2 and started the entire thing again when I recovered)

I started a new job in March where I was home based for the first time and now everyone else in my old place and in the country is home based too which annoys me ( :) ) BUT it's great to see so many people out and about doing this. I always wonder when I'm doing my runs if other people have always been running or if they are on their own journey thanks to Covid.

I have to say until week 7 I counted the walks and the runs but when you start running for a time it is easy to just start the time after the 5 minute warmup. Good luck

This forum is amazing. The support and the wealth of information.

Like you..I wouldn't have been able to do this programme, if I hadn't been wfh in lockdown. I'm a morning runner, so when eventually back to the office, worried about fitting it all in.

Enjoy your consolidation runs.

Fantastic achievement. Well done you πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ†πŸ₯³πŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸ

I don’t think I will be back in the office full time for a long time. So I am hoping that I can do my runs on days I work from home.

Lucky you. The NHS isnt running with wfh.

Such a pity.as it's a win win for everyone. But. I will find a way of fitting my runs in somehow πŸƒπŸΌβ€β™€οΈ
