Back again - news and apologies

Hello runners,

I'm back at my desk looking at beautiful blue skies over not so beautiful Elephant & Castle after a couple of weeks on the beaches of Brittany.

My colleague Rob has kept an eye on things while I've been off and has handed out a fair few graduate badges but I've finally managed to catch up this morning and awarded 28 new badges. A few of you have waited quite a while so thanks for your patience and, most importantly, a huge well done to you all.

While I've been away the Couch to 5k t-shirts have gone into production and are available for sale from Complete Runner at completerunner-online.com/s.... Apparently 30 have been sold already and as I understand it they had only just started work on their web pages for the t-shirts when a Couch to 5ker found them, bought a t-shirt and spread the word. Amazing!

The 'Southern Chapter' of Couch to 5k has planned a meet up for a run this Sunday at Lloyd Park in Croydon - see couchto5k.healthunlocked.co... for details - and I think Laura is planning to be there. Alas even though I only live down the road I can't make it but I hope you all have a great run.

Finally, we've launched a community to support our Strength & Flex podcasts at strengthandflex.healthunloc... The podcasts are an excellent accompaniment to Couch to 5k and also feature Laura, so you know you can trust them. If we get anywhere near as many members there and close to the same level of positivity and support, it'll be another great community.

Good luck with your runs this week

John

I'm quite fond of Elephant really. It's a unique place. I've just asked Laura about Croydon and she smiled enigmatically. Not for a while would be my guess.

Glad you're enjoying the community. It's an inspiring place.

especially today with a broken wrist and arm and hand in plaster. i won't be able to run for a month and am really upset. My fellow bloggers have been super, encouraging me no end despite my mishap.

Timely news about the new Strength and Flexibility community as I tried the first podcast last night and have a fair few questions as a result.

Thanks for the badge, John. :D

Is there any chance of the ladies t-shirts being available in larger sizes, like the men's are? Some of us graduates have *ahem* chests. ;)
