I can't really afford any running shoes but I really want some so I am looking for the cheapest possible ones I can get but want them to be decent otherwise it's pointless. Does anyone know where I can get some cheap ones and how much they may be? Thanks

you can wear any comfortable running shoe so brand and price aren't important. Mine are a no-name and came from the market. Just choose a pair which fit comfortably.
try sports direct.com lots to choose from and various prices so you can choose a price that suits you.
Just bear in mind that if you order them from Sports Direct online, the courier is Yodel, and don't even get me started on YODEL (or Nodel, as in No Delivery, which would be a far more appropriate name )
Hiya, i ordered mine from sports direct donnay moon, i used the for my first run and they felt good and so far no major aches and pains, they were only a few quid in the sale. Yodel actually came when they were sposed to but i was checking the online thing all day
I was - this is how I found out that they delivered my parcel and I signed for it (although I appear to have lost the ability to spell my own surname). This was over a week ago and despite pestering both Sports Direct and Yodel, I'm still waiting for an answer. Then I made the mistake of reading the reviews on Yodel and watching the latest report that watchdog did on them and I'm no longer holding out much hope of ever getting my stuff or a refund!
My last 2 pairs of Asics have been bought at SportsDirect but we have a shop here in the city not bought on line. Asics start at about £35 and go up to £140'ish loads of styles to chose from in between.
decathlon.co.uk is good too. I got a pair of asics there and from memory thet were quite reasonable too.
I got my trainers (some nice new balance ones) from Sports direct 2 days ago they had a sale on I think the sale might still be on, or there were quite a few cheap trainers on amazon.co.uk. Or try ebay there's often new trainers on there
Although you may have to wait a while until they come round again, the running shoes that Lidl do get good reviews. I bought some for my son for £15 and he says they're very comfortable. He wears them all the time! I'll be getting more at the next opportunity.
I bought my first pair of 'real' running shoes from Amazon for £25 (RRP £60-70). I just happened to get them at the right time, so it might be a worth a look and throwing a few in your 'basket' to keep an eye on price changes. End of lines (due to newer version) often get reduced.
Two things to bear in mind though:
1) you will probably need to buy running shoes half to one size larger than your normal size, to allow for your feet expanding when you run
2) if you buy 'proper' running shoes, make sure they are right for your running style. Some people tend to under or over pronate and shoes are designed with this in mind. Getting the wrong sort could be painful. Getting the right sort can help correct the causes of pain.
sportsshoes.com. Great website with loads of info on choosing the right style of shoe and fast delivery. Very helpful if you need to return or exchange too
