First Parkrun

Did my first Parkrun at the Walsall Arboretum today 30:40. Went off a bit to quick and suffered for it but kept going no stopping or walking. Great atmosphere running with others but it's easy to get sucked in to it and try and keep up with more experienced runners. Many thanks to the volunteers, will be back next week.

Well done Colin-H the first one is always the worst. Do you remember heading off out for your first ever C25K run - eeeekkkk Week 1 Run 1, I kept putting it off, those days seem a long time ago now but will stay in my memory for even longer. Good time Colin, now the test comes to try and improve and get a bit faster with each run. So as my little poem says, listen to Laura and 1,2,3,4 ;)

30:40 is a great time! I think I went off a bit quick too - a bit keen with the new adventure I think! ;D

I was also eager to keep up with the others and I did pass a few people so that made a change from the running I recall at school!

Good luck with next week! :)

Congratulations to both of you. Colin-H that is an AMAZING time :)

I did my 2nd parkun today and still set off too fast (didn't learn from last time) am a bit disappointed that I was a touch slower than my 1st ever parkrun but I got REALLY bad stitch after the 1st lap, so bad I thought I was going to have to call it a day... couldn't walk let alone run!! Oh well, all part of the running learning curve I guess.... I have never had stitch since starting the programme 11 weeks ago... :(

Have you both put NHS Couch to 5k as your running clubs?

Good luck for your next runs guys :)

Wow well done, that is a great time :-)

Did me my first one as well and definitely started to quick, until i realised it was my run not the persons in front that I was doing, but like you suffered all run from it. But god was it fun :-) well done on an excellent time :-)
