I am feeling so proud to have completed my very first Parkrun today. What a superb event with a great atmosphere! It was raining but that didn't stop the fun and enjoyment. It was an anniversary Parkrun.
I think the rain and cooler temperatures helped me as I managed a time of 32:26. I'm really pleased with that given I only started running in April. I'm already looking forward to doing another one hopefully very soon!

well done on your first park run, that's a great time for your first one 😂
Well done and welcome to the parkrun family
Wow that is a great time, I love park run, such an amazing organised event. The volunteers are so fantastic to enable these events to keep going. Awesome! 🏅
Congratulations on a fantastic time at your first park run. I had planned to do my first yesterday but didn't feel like ending up like a drowned rat! I don't have any wet weather running gear.
I did my 1st park run too, yesterday. Wish my time was anywhere near yours, but fantastic. I can’t wait for next Saturday, my time was so awful, i’m Bound to improve. Lol
Wow, great time...well done you! 😊 The cooler temperature and rain are certainly a help aren't they, just so much more pleasant than the ridiculous heat we've been running/sweating in 😳
Well done NewbieRunner22. I have run 3 Parkruns and yesterday I volunteered for the first time as a marshall. It was one of the nicest 30 minutes I've ever experienced! The first 10 minutes was in solitude, watching birds peck in the undergrowth, then along came the front runners, nodding thanks to me, then more runners with the refrain "thank you marshall!" then hundreds more runners saying "thank you marshall!", people high-fiving me, in total 681 smiling, several hundred thanking me then finally the tail walker and it was over and I met up with another marshall and strolled back to the car, on cloud nine, what a wonderful experience, very humbling, so highly recommended.
