Having done Stepping stones and speed, decided tonight I would try stamina. I found this really hard, it was extremely hot (I just kept wishing it would rain), had a stitch (which is unusual) and it seem to go on forever. Gave up with 10 minutes to go and am gutted.

Stamina - nearly killed me
It is DREADFUL weather at the moment for runners...whether the sun is shining or not, it just seems incredibly clammy and humid and it is very draining. My last two runs have been extremely hard work morningglory, so don't worry. I expect if you have another go at a cooler time it will be fine for you.

I agree, this weather really drains you. It's hard enough without the heat! I find early morning best.
Thanks Carole that gives me hope. Will try an early morning run next time it might be a bit cooler.
On the positive side if it was really easy it would also be boring really quickly, that's what I'm telling myself anyway! ;.)
I've just posted a blog about Stamina too, I found it very hard due to the heat, the time of day I was running but also the fact that it was straight into a fast'ish pace, it usually takes me 5-8 minutes to settle down and get into my stride. I did manage to finish it but it was very hard and I didn't enjoy it like I did Speed, which I thought was fun and would have like to have carried on much longer with it. So do be down about not finishing it, it could be that its just not for you or it could be one of those workouts that needs to be worked at, I suspect the latter is the case or why bother creating it to start with Its going to be a challenge I think which is what I was needing.
