Has anyone tried low fat chocolate milk after their run? Seems to be a buzz about this at the moment? Apparently very beneficial, perfect post workout drink. Not keen on milk, but if it's got chocolate in it!! ;)

I have a chocolate milk after running club / park run...but mine is skimmed milk...couldn't do full fat or semi. Love it!

I am allergic to milk so I have soya and chocolate shake, it works for me after my run. give it a try if your not keen on milk.

Yup ... I've found one of the Mars/Galaxy-style drinks to be the almost perfect post-run drink. Just started drinking beetroot juice after a run and that works very well for me too (sometimes mixed with a bit of apple juice).

I do drink it occasional but only after runs 10K or longer. I just make my own using cocoa powder and skimmed milk. I also add a tiny bit of salt, it makes it taste better and good for replenishing those electrolytes (or that's my theory anyway). :)

Why are we drinking chocolate milk? Other than the obvious chocoholics anonymous I mean ;)

Well tried it and it was a nice change from water and a banana, only had a tumbler full though as being careful, after all it is still chocolate!

Carrot juice is a good energy boost but not half so much fun as chocolate milk!
