Eughh! 👎. 🍷👍

well its true, you have the same access to the internet as I, It was recently featured on a BBC science documentary. Two twins, both doctors put it to the test, they drank sports drinks, water another substance and milk and it was found milk is the best drink to hydrate you or rehydrate you, its stays in the body for longer. Sports drinks are almost a placebo and of little or no use.

And further more, I have read that it is chocolate milk !! :) -- I guess because of the sugar in it???

Good morning Bazza

The program here was a BBC documentary, they used just ordinary full fat milk, it was far better than any of the joke sports drinks that just make the like of Dietrich Mateschitz (Red Bull) rich.

Yep. I read ages ago in Runners World that chocolate milk is the best thing to drink after a run as it contains the ingredients needed for quicker recovery and muscle repair. I drink a lot of milk and now make up my own post run concoction with cocoa powder and whey powder but milk on its own works a treat.

I like milk and drink it. I did buy some almond milk to drink but was put off by the dodgy-looking ingredients in it. I'd rather make my own. It barely had any almond in it!!!! I am aware of two issues being an old biddy. Getting enough calcium for my ageing bones but trying to avoid inflammation of my stupid leg.

There are other ways of getting calcium though so I don't suppose milk is the be all and end all.

If it refreshed the parts that other drinks don't then I'm not at all surprised. Some of those energy drinks. Yuk! You can keep em. I do like a Vita coconut water after a longer race mind you

Once word gets out you'll see runners all over running with a bottle of chocolate Frijj rather than water.

When I come in from a long run I have milk, banana, cocoa powder smoothie, love it, big believer in the power of milk.
