Well, did WK2 R3 and just back. No sore shins or calves, hurray! So the frozen mixed veg can stay in the freezer where they belong and I can look forward to WK3 Such a relief, oh did an experiment as well as I was so happy running pain free; smiled at everyone running, apart form the serious runners who just zip past and guess what? they all smiled back, even a lady walking which I realised at the last second was actually walking and not running!!
Nice not to ice!: Well, did WK2 R3 and just back... - Couch to 5K
Nice not to ice!
I'm so happy for you that you're back to running, and pain free. I'm held up with calf pain and today is the first time I haven't limped around for 10 days. I know you did the right thing and rested for a week, and it seems to have worked. I'm going to follow your example and keep resting for another week to be on the safe side. I don't know about you, but I imagine you felt the same sense of dread that your running days were over before they had begun.
Enjoy week 3!
How lovely of you, thank you. Yes you're right, rest is v.important, I've got slight twinges now but only 'worked out good pain.' I don't do any other sport and it's so easy to go over to the park and it's free! So fingers crossed for you, sure you're doing the stretches and icing? I tried 'Deep Heat,' but I don't know if it did anything. Anyway, thanks again for your support let me know how you get on...
