I ran/shuffled for longer than I walked - welcome to week 4

So chuffed with that nugget of information from Laura. I ran more that I walked, though I wasn't going as fast as the elegant gym godess on the next tread mill, all glossy, swinging ponytail, calm, cool, collected. Cut to me, atomic red and sweating like it's going out of fashion. But really, I didn't care...the pure elation at running for 5 minutes and running 16 whole minutes overall was amazing...I'm probably on the same high as Danny Boyle will be today :) Wasn't the ceremony ace by the way? Especially as it celebrated the NHS, and riled Tories in the process ;)

What a ceremony, spectacular!

And spectacular progress for you too, that's a milestone, running more than you're walking, well done. I hate those gym goddesses, I don't think I'd ever look like that even if i was the fittest person in the world!

Bet you look gorgeous cimer :D It really does feel like a milestone. I had visions of ending up a gym godess when I started this, quite deluded but you gotta have a dream! The actual doing has become so much more important though...can't quite believe how much I'm enjoying C25K.

One day we'll be those goddesses haha.

I was the same, really enjoyed C25K. Overall anyway, some days were rough but it's a great plan to follow :)

Well done on your first run of week 4. :) Laura's comment made me smile like I was demented at the end of that first run. ;) Have to say, I found week 4 hard and didn't quite make one run. But I've moved onto, and successfully completed, my first run of week 5, so it pays off. Best wishes for the next one.

Thank you, it's good to have the heads up from the week ahead, it makes me feel like it could just be within my grasp, especially when C25Kers hit a tough run but then overcome it as you have this week, great determination Legion. I'm dying to ge ton to week 5, I go away on Monday and am worried about the heat/running outdoors and think it may stall me, but I guess I'll just have to give it a go. Bet wishes to you...you'll be coming up to a BIG landmark with week 5 I believe (not that I've been peeking ahead at runs, ahem), looking forward to hearing that you've nailed it :)

I'm going away tomorrow until Tuesday, so my next run will be somewhere totally unfamiliar on Monday. That may, or may not, be a good thing. ;) Will, of course, blog about it when I get back!
