W3R1 I ran for 3minutes!

I actually did it, I’ve done W3R1! I kept running but those 3 minutes felt never-ending. The second lot of ‘3mins’ I was against the wind but I kept going. 🏃‍♀️

Did my W3R1 this morning and found it hard work, think I just wasn’t “in the mood”, hoping Friday’s W3R2 will be better. It’s a really good feeling though, isn’t it, to get a 3-min run under the belt! I also thought the 90-second runs now seemed quite easy (in comparison at least), whereas last week they seemed to go on forever :)

I agree, last week the 1.5min runs went on forever. I was supposed to start W3 yesterday but couldn’t motivate myself. Oddly the second 1.5min run was really difficult which it shouldn’t have been after 3mins walk. On the plus side I overtook a mobility scooter - it was moving too!

I also did W3R1 today. Actually found longer runs but less repeats easier much to my amazement. Even did extra run at the end as I was further away from home than I anticipated as didn’t turn round at half way. Running back against the wind too! Bring on W3R2 Friday. Slowing down has made it much easier!

You’re right, less repeats did make a difference. The whole session seemed quicker too. I’m doing the second run on Friday too, so I’ll be with you in spirit!

Thanks, I wasn’t sure I’d pass the mobility scooter as I was doing a slow jog. It came down to a matter of pride, I had to overtake it!

Well done! I'd did the same W3R1 and preferred the fewer repeats, caught out by a cheeky hill though on my last 3 minutes and had to run a little longer as I was further away from home than I wanted to be!

The route I’m doing Friday will have a hill so hopefully it won’t be in the 3mins parts!
