Week 5 Run 3 - yes! yes! yes!

I did it - I actually ran nonstop for 20 minutes!! Never would have believed it was possible for me. The first 5 minutes were tiring trying to breath properly and not to go too quickly but soon I felt I was ok and the time and distance flew by. Checked when I got home and I'd run 1.85 miles - this is someone who couldn't have run 50 yards to save her life a few weeks ago!!

  • Wow 1.85 miles is good, well done! hope it flies by for me, I should be doing it on Friday, scary stuff!

  • Good Luck for Friday! Think the fact that my run had a long gradual downhill for the first 5mins or so helped immensely with speed and distance!!!

  • Thank you :) I did it, still don't really believe it!

  • Fantastic - well done, doesn't it feel great?! Did W6 R1 on Wednesday and found it strange going back to interval running, maybe the heat didn't help but I found it hard going - still I know not every run is a 'good run'!

  • Well done you! Must feel amazing. I have my third run of week 5 coming up at the end of this week; exciting.

  • All the best - you can do it!! It's a wonderful feeling at the end!

  • Well done this fills me with hope as i am starting week five on Thursday.

  • Good Luck for Week 5! Sure you'll do it - it's a great feeling at the end of run 3 when the 20 mins end!!
