I really cannot believe that yesterday on a hot humid afetrnoon for the first time in my life I ran 10k/6.2 miles. Couch to 5k is the best thing I have ever discovered. I can remember the days when I used to say "I'll never be able to run non stop for 20 minutes" It took me 1 hour and 9 minutes and it was hard but I felt fantastic afterwards. 55years old and never ran in the past but now I think I am actually a runner :-)

Wow I said I wasn't going to go on to try 10K I would just be happy with 5, but having read your blog you have given me motivation to at least start training for it. Well done you, many congratulations. What's next?

I started c25k on Thursday 29 Dec 2011 not for minute thinking I would see it through to the end. I graduated on March 10th and have run 3 times a week weather permitting ever since.

Mmm what's next? try to run 10k in an hour and then up it a mile at a time and who knows I might aim for a half marathon but we'll see. This forum has kept me motivated reading about everyone else's experiences
