First graduate run - LOL!

I started off this morning already smug and pink as I had risked ordering my graduate t-shirt last Sunday after W9R2. It arrived yesterday in time for my first graduate run and it is pink or cherry or something. So pink and smug before leaving the house!

Off I went and in five minutes it was RAINING! It has never really rained when I have been out running. But I carried on. Then I developed a stitch. I have never had a stitch while an undergraduate but I was not to be put off. I had read here that I must slow down and *breathe* so I did. And I carried on. Then my phone gave up! No Laura (I haven't cut the cord yet). OK I had risked the red 10% bar of impending silence. But I carried on. I discovered I can run 'au naturelle' and quite liked it. I could hear my feet! And then, cheek of it, one of laces came undone (NEVER happened before) and I had to STOP. All of these firsts on my first graduate run made me smile from ear to ear and actually LOL!

I have no idea how far I ran or how long it took but I know I am not deterred by rain, stitch, no Laura or laces! Arrived home PINK and very SMUG.

those things would have really unsettled me in the early days. This prog is so good at moving you on and building your confidence. I think I probably ran further than I have ever run in the past but not bothered - because the key was that I enjoyed it. I enjoyed running in the rain! Hah!
