Hello from Australia!

Well after weeks of procrastinating and things cropping up to stop us, on Monday night my fiance and I went for our first run. We both managed it ok, much better than expected. We ran around the lake under the stars and it was even a little bit romantic! We were motivating each other throughout and it was actually enjoyable. This from the girl who gave up in the 100m race at school because it was too hard! So i am looking forward to our second run tonight. Bit worried about the weeks building up, especially those near the end but from what I have read your body seems to manage it eventually and that is certainly what I am hoping for!!

Hello! Ooh, it does sound romantic.. Well done to both of you to getting started. I'd agree with your body managing it all by the time you get there, also you can always do any week again if you find it a bit hard. I am planning to do week 8 again and feeling quite happy about it.

Good luck and I look forward to reading your updates. :-)

Hi , I am in Australia as well. It is great that you have taken the first step,it is probably the hardest one as they say! This is a really wonderful program. You gradually build up your fitness each week and if you want to you can always repeat a week. I did a few times after I was not able to run for awhile (sicknesss and crazy schedules!) I'm now in week 7 and I just love it...I actually look forward to my run! Never thought I'd say that :-) Good Luck !

Well done, & welcome. I found the first week the toughest to do, and had to repeat a few runs but this program works, Three months ago I would not beleive you if you said I would be running for 25 mins in July.

I just did week 7 run 2 and I am amazed at how well this program works :)

Hello to our jogging friends down under, lovely to speak with you. I have turned green with envy reading your post, jogging under the stars!! You will have no excuses not to go out from now on, but I will say this, I found the first run by far the worst of the whole programme so if your the same it gets better from now on. Well done both of you and do please keep in touch and post often. :)

Hi There

I am also in Australia. I am about to do week 5 run 2 tomorrow and I am also in love with this program. I never thought I would would see the day when I could run any distance without having a heart attack. Keep at it, some runs are harder than others but they are all doable if you don't give up. Like SnowyOwl I also have taken a little longer to get this far for pretty much the same reason.

Good luck
