The final of the Hello 2016 Quest
9k- great run but unfortunately left me injured for the last two weeks of the quest!
7km for me or will be 10km after Sunday.
A bit of a mixed bag this quest. But at the end of the day not beating myself up over it, it's been mega busy and Christmas and new year. Looking forward to the next stage of training after my 10km event on Sunday. I am Going to be mixing it up a bit more.
5.13km was my longest (seems ages ago!)
So, I didn't get to Matlock Bridge on my virtual swim - I didn't go swimming as often as I had hoped and when I did I found I wasn't able to swim as far as I had been doing.
And I certainly weigh more than 69kgs (but have got back into recording my eating and in combination with using my Fitbit getting a better understanding of the size of difference between calorie intake and output)
I haven't worked out an average for how many days a week I've achieved 10,000 steps but it is close enough to 3 for me to feel satisfied. Really interesting insights into the value of walking and general fussing around the house!
The big success, and very satisfying, has been revisiting old running haunts... and I have plenty more places to revisit, and perhaps run for the first time. Definitely going to be focusing on the moors before ground nesting bird season arrives officially on 1st March and the dog has to be on the lead up there until the end of July.
One more thing... I had a dash to A&E this week with my husband with some cardiac misbehaviour. Fortunately all settled but it did make me appreciate the value of investing in reducing my own risks.
Hope all is well with your husband now, J? That sounds worrying.
No, he's still not right at all unfortunately, although his heart isn't going like the clappers so much and it was rather nice to have it confirmed it wasn't a heart attack... but no one knows what *is* wrong.
10k on 10th January - woohoo! My first official run, my first bling, and the first real buzz of running with the pack. A realization that it's never too late, and that tastes can change dramatically if you listen to that little voice that suggests you give something a try.
I've been a bit negligent on this quest and ended it on the IC, but I did manage 18K as my longest run. Maybe that's why I ended it on the IC! Looking forward to lots of wine with CurlyGurly though!
I have one more run, but I'm sure it won't be longer than the 7k I ran last week.
I've run 60.5k this January (not counting Sunday's projected 7) in the bitter cold, snow and ice. I remember last year drumming my fingers to get through March so it would be warm enough for me to start the C25K!
Sort of OK quest. Eating bit more healthier. No weight loss but at least stopped putting on weight. Have done little speed work once a week although not seen a difference during my normal runs. So all in all nothing drastic but hopefully step in right direction I can build on.
Longest run was 8 miles.
12k please RFC. That was near the beginning of the quest, hoping for another long one this weekend.
Longest run for me was 5k on the 10th Jan. My last run was the 13th - unlucky for some because after that one my asthma got much much worse, morphed into a chest infection and I've ended up on antibiotics and steroid rescue, with my peak flow less than half its normal level Feeling yucky at the moment but hopeful that I'll get out there again soon. Woe! Woe! And thrice woe!! Lol
Poor you Hope you're feeling better soon.
Thank you, Sweetie. The good thing about steroid rescue is that it works quite quickly, so it shouldn't be too long. xx
The thing about steroids is they make you want to get out for a run, but your lungs won't let you... I'm on cortisone for sinus trouble at the moment, same result...
14km
13.1 km. my longest so far 😀
5.5km. There were a couple of those but no longer ones, alas. Must do better next time.
5k via Parkrun. I seem to have given up on trying to do longer runs! maybe a target for the next quest?
6k was the longest run. I joined a fab womens' running group in Exeter and have done 2 park runs, so it has been really useful documenting my aims for the month here!
10K for me this time. Hoped to do a 10.5 or even 11k yesterday but I felt a bit 'off' so didt run at all. Pretty happy with 10k though
11.5 longest run for me, although it would have been 14.5 if Minnie Garmin hadn't taken so long to latch on - I walked the first 3 KM. I'm so looking forward to meeting everyone chez moi!
15k on Saturday morning on a beautiful sunny day. (Weather turned manky later on, so I was really glad I'd done it !) Took my 2hrs20 and I really enjoyed it !
BTW - you are all really welcome to drop in here (Grenoble) if a "refreshment station" is needed on the way to CG2's. Virtual coffee and banana bread on offer !
