The dreaded week 5 run 3, wondering if it's possible!

Anyone else about to do it? I'm due to do it today. In the rain, by the look of it! I find it hard to imagine 20 minutes is possible - what a jump from 8 minutes! I don't want to be beaten by my mind before my body's had a chance to have a go at it though! Good luck to any of you who are also staring this one in the face and well done to those of you who have already succeeded.

I did it yesterday!! I was like you at the beginning of the week wondering how on earth I would do it. But by the time I came to the morning of my run I actually realised I thought I COULD do it. Rain will probably help, better than being scorching hot. Just set off slowly. You can do it! Come back and report later :)

I did it yesterday as well. Couldn't believe I actually managed it! Like you I was terrified of the thought of such a big jump. I just took it slow and steady though, and didn't think about the time. You will be able to do it trust me - and you will be so proud of yourself. I was beaming all day yesterday!! :)

absolutely it is, I too was very worried about the W5R3 run, but it's definitely in the mind!! you CAN do it, I did and am now running (albeit slowly!) for 30 mins, never thought I'd say that! :-)

Good Luck, take it steady. :-)

Oh and Tilly1 I reckon you are right about the rain; I don't know how I'd manage in the heat - not that I've had any experience of that yet! I'll let you know how I get on. Good luck with week 6!

Good for you Samjf25. Laughing at the thought of me managing anything other than steady:) I will be so pleased an amazed if I can push my legs along for that long, however slowly.

I dont think there are many people on here who havent felt daunted by the dreaded w5r3 I certainly was. In the end you trust in Laura and the programme and go for it. Stay calm breath and slow down if you have too but dont stop.

Good luck
