hi everyone I have recently had a 6 week break due to health reasons - I had reached wk 8 and I now want to start back.

my question is do I start from the beginning again? has anyone had any a similar experience and if so which week did they go back to? I am determined to finish this time as I have now realised how much better i felt when i was doing the podcasts.

I'm not sure. Maybe do W1 and see how you go. If it you find it really easy, go for W2 for your next run. Definitely better to do an "easier" run and move on more quickly than for example start on W5 and hurt yourself or put yourself off.

Thanks tilly1 - I have just been out and done week 1 again - I didnt find it as hard as the first time but it wasnt that easy either so I think this is the way to go and start from week 1 again.

I had only been graduated just a month when I developed full blown sciatica which crippled me for 6 weeks and left me unable to run for just over 3 months. I started right back at week 1, but only did 2 runs for weeks 1,2 & 3 then did all 3 for the rest for the programme. I wish you all the best for getting back into it. Take it easy and make sure you listen to your body. Will keep my fingers crossed that all goes well for you.

8 weeks is a fair while, but I doubt you need to start all over again. Maybe start back at week 3, or 4. If it's dead easy, jump straight to the next week, if it's too tough drop back a week. Find a level that's comfortable and go from there.
