Well life at 53 started off with three unwanted presents... Just come back from the doctors being called the unlucky one. Three things up with my right foot. Peroneal Tendonitis, Achilles Tendonitis, and Plantar Fascia. Bugger, no running for me for a while... been limping around as it is for 10 days 😂 Boys and girls watch out for large lumps of rubble on paths and then try and run on rocky roads in the Spanish mountains five days later. Ouch.

Feel for you Sonia! 😫 However the IC gives you time to read up all the running links & magazines, plan new routes, create new playlists & do strength & flex. SO disappointing but the runs will wait & seem all the sweeter once you are back out there! Big big hugs 🤗💐 🍫

I blame the huge lump of builders rubble on the path my foot landed on. Was fine until i tried to run again.

Ow, ow, and ow!! Have you seen a physio and got any tips? 🤞🏻 for a speedy recovery for you 👍🏻

No physio but the doctor printed off exercises for me and said what i can do at the gym. The swelling has gone down now, i heal fast. So now its keeping all my other muscles fit and active. Just no running... 😭 I’ll miss the high.

I feel your pain. I'm off with metatarsalgia just now. 👎🏼 check out strength and Flex forum too for lots of other things you can do meantime...I know it's not the same but anything is better than nothing.

He was a very good doctor and understood about running. Said when i can run again start C25k right from the beginning. In the meantime exercise bikes, rowing machines, swimming, yoga etc is okay. Need to exercise he said not rest.

No, but i can use stationary ones at the gym. Was using them on non run rest days to ease out my legs.

At least you can get some aerobic exercise

Great that your doctor picked up on those 3 things. Not so great you need to stop running.

Keep us posted and hope you're better soon 😊

Have you tried/ heard of water running. You need a swimming pool deeper than you and one of these. It's non impact so should be fine and keeps the motions going.....
