I am back with a bang!!!๐ Iโm currently sat in my car writing this after just finishing run 1 of week 8!๐ฅณ
I wrote my previous post about my first awful attempt at week 8 and how it failed miserably๐ฉ I wasnโt going to attempt it today as I felt I needed to give myself a bit of a break after last week, but something came over me and I felt like I could do it, so I quickly hopped in my car before that random outburst of energy disappeared๐คฃ
Iโve never ran this late before but I really enjoyed it, it seemed like such a nice peaceful run, it really helped me to shut off and just enjoy it๐
A lot of mental strength was definitely needed for this one, I think I had about 15 minutes left and I could begin to feel my legs getting heavy, but after my last disaster of a run there was no way I was giving up- the energy was there it was just down to me to push myself through it!
Iโm so ready for run 2 now, and hopefully this time next week Iโll be nearly ready to claim my C25K cap and gown!!๐๐ฅณ

Well done! They say thereโs no f-word on this programme, just a different run than you expected. Brilliant youโve got out there again and smashed run 1 ๐๐๐๐
It is ๐ I am doing Week 5 Run 1 tomorrow, so very excited to do this and challenge myself with running even longer x
I read a blog of mrrun and wow he has done 50k run...talked about 100k and 160k and 250k....I cant stop thinking about it - how fit those people are, who are running those incredible distances just like that
Amazing!! Good luck with week 5- was probably my favourite week๐
Oh my gosh, I find it absolutely crazy how people can run such distances!! The route that I have been doing is just a little over 1km per lap, and just the thought of running round there 50 times....no thank you๐คฃ x
Those ultra marathons are absolutely crazy!! Iโve agreed to do a 10k next year to try and keep up the motivation once Iโve completed the programme, even 10k seems like hard work๐คฃ
Well done ๐ I am repeating week 8 too as I struggled with two of the three runs. Decided I need to get this 28 mins under my belt comfortably before moving on again. I sympathise with the aching legs. Mine were aching around 20 min mark but, like you, I pushed myself to the end. We can do this ๐ค
yeah even though I did it, it definitely wasnโt a comfortable run๐คฃI think I just need to act as though Iโm doing 25 minutes because I found those runs absolutely fine!! And then itโs only 3 extra minutes on top of that which is nothing!!
You've done so well!!!! Great stuff. I think sometimes it is just a mental battle and sometimes its a physical one but you've overcome it. ( Keep forgetting to get emojis but pretend I've put a dancing one - ha! ha! )
Yeah last week I was just physically and mentally drained- there was no energy in me whatsoever! Normally itโs just a case of fighting against my rubbish mindset to keep on going๐คฃ I feel a lot better about it now though, and now that I know I can actually do it I should fee more motivated for the next ones๐
Well done you. Iโve just started back after 3 weeks off (medical) and I had completed week 8 run 1 and Iโm absolutely delighted to say that I did week 8 run 2 yesterday. We may graduate at the same time.๐
Fantastic!! Thatโs amazing that after 3 weeks you have been able to jump straight back into week 8!!๐ Yes! We may indeed! Iโm on run 2 tomorrow๐
