.....last night, I was watching TV with my daughter, and all the while I had this nagging at the back of my mind telling me to go out for a run, but the thought of staying in and having a beer in front of the box was almost too much, until, at about 9pm, I finally pulled on my running shoes, left the house and did my best run so far. It was the first time ever I'd run 5k in 30 minutes outside! I was so proud of myself, so much so that I thought I'd do it all over again this afternoon...and guess what.....I was much slower. I reckon I used up my reserve batteries last night! Rest day tomorrow, and on Tuesday I'll aim for that high again. Watch this space!

I'm not surprised you were slower your poor body and legs only had a rest for about 16 hours. But having said that I'm inclined to run when I really feel the need even when its supposed to be a rest day I just keep it short and have fun.

i know what you mean - I get a bit fidgety on my rest days and tend to go out for a short run just to get it out of my system. I'm proud to say that I've swapped Eastenders for running!
