I've completed all runs upto w6r2. W6R1 was really hard for me, in fact I stopped running with 2 minutes left. One of my problems is that I am losing circulation in my left foot. It is so bad that near the end of my run I cannot feel my foot and I am dragging it. Bought new shoes (thought that was the problem so I switched to other ones with the same result), tried lacing them losely and differently and still no relief. I now dread doing the longer runs for I know my foot is going to give me troubles I need a little encouragement to get me through this low point and maybe any ideas of what to do with my foot.

JDGirl....you should get to a health professional as soon as possible and ask about that foot. Take both pairs of shoes with you and ask him for advice.
Hello and I'm so sorry for you. I seriously think you should consult your doctor with this as soon as possible. Sensation loss is definitely not normal and you must get it checked out. I don't want to alarm you but I had this when I suffered from sciatica and needed an operation. It may be caused by a problem in your spine compressing the nerves. Maybe the running has altered something.
It might be shoes. Have a gait analysis done at a running shop, if you haven't already.
Thanks for the advice I did have a gait analysis done when I bought the shoes. I have also made an appointment with my dr.
I don't have any advice but just wanted to wish you good luck...lots of encouragement coming your way!
I have wide feet and have difficulty buying trainers that fit. I usually have to buy a size too big, and feel like I'm wearing clown shoes or else squeeze into shoes that are the "right" size, but can give me pins and needles when I wear them. Could wide feet be your problem? Also bear in mind that your feet can swell when you exercise and that can make your shoes feel tighter and cause pins and needles and/or numbness.
I used to have a similar problem in my right foot, also with properly fitted shoes. I badly injured that foot many years ago so got it checked out quick smart. The advice I got was still to tie my laces firmly but to lace them through alternate holes.
Worked a treat for me and only very occasional problems since. Agree with the others that you do need to get this checked out but maybe this will help.
Good luck- it's a horrible feeling
