Week one...

Well I had to leave my much beloved gym due to my dire financial situation finishing university....owch.

I have never ever been good at running, I don't like the pain and feeling like I am going to die, so swimming has always been my prefered sport! but that also costs lots of money, and when I move home I have no access to a pool or gym

so this is my last ditch attempt to be a runner! Enjoyed the first run which is amazing as I never ever like running, I did not find it too hard, but worried I will do in subsequent weeks!!

Laura is fab, as in previous attempts fussing over times on my watch and 'pretending' to finish was all too easy, this I don't want to give up! Shall see how other weeks go!!

Hey,

Glad to hear that this has finally got you buzzing about running. I am on week 2 and feel the same. Think it is more satisfying knowing its free!

Keep it up and good luck!

Maybe it's having a proper plan to work to that's helping? I needed structure and Laura in my ear at first and for quite some time. I now run without earphones and music and love it

I'm on week 2 and still highly motivated. I'm in awe of someone who has ever belonged to a gym. I've never done any sport and this is the best way I can imagine to get off the couch. It's hard work but soooooo enjoyable for all that! I love feeling that I'm gradually fighting my way to more stamina and hopefully to being that magic thing, a runner. Welcome and have a great time!

Welcome to the programme. I'm on week 4 and love it!! Really enjoying the running, and I was like you, preferred swimming and hated the running.

Enjoy the programme and keep us updated :-)

I'm in week one, without this plan I would have no idea how you start running! Looking forward to W1R3 tomorrow morning.

As you seem to like fitness ( I was gym Phobic) still only been twice in my life but not scared any more. This programme will be great for you. I am sure you will marvel at the way your body responds. If my unloved carcus can respond yours will. Enjoy the journey.
