I got up extra early this morning to try and run my graduation run in the relative cool. Switched Laura on and off I went. For the first 5 minutes I thought I couldnt breath but thankfully that soon passed and I got into my usual slow jogging pace. Where I run is an abandoned railway line which has been turned into walking/cycling/running track which in total is just over 5k, I have never got to the end and back before Laura has told me to stop so today I was determined to get to the end and then turn around towards home and see how far I could go. Laura told me that I had run for 20 minutes when I got to the end of the track so I knew it would take me another 20 minutes to get back. So, sorry Laura I switched you off otherwise I would have stopped when you told me to! I played my own music, well at least I tried to with no glasses (blind as a bat) I couldnt see what I had selected so ended up running to Pink, Andrea Bocelli and Amy McDonald! I did try to find Homeward Bound by simon and Garfunkle but gave up!
I am so excited as I ran right to the end and with my body which is well past its sell by date thats not mean feat! I have never ever run 5k in my entire life and its all due to this amazing programme and the wonderful people who have inspired me and kept me motivated the whole way through. I now feel I can complete the Race for Life on 10 June now which will be truly amazing.

lol - you made me laugh about the music! I have the same problem without my reading glasses. Great though the Nano is the screen is just a bit too small for me to see. I have been known to run to do the wrong weeks podcast because I cant see what I am setting off but too much of a faff to try and change it once going!!
Well done - you can enjoy race for life now knowing that you can do it
