Hurrah !

I've been stalking the local running club for a couple of weeks or more now. I already go to Yoga class on a Wednesday and my slimming class on Thursday so I wasn't sure how my Beloved would feel about me going out on a Tuesday as well...so I drank a bottle of wine then broached the subject. No problem ! No excuse now................ :-)

Now if that were my own Beloved, he would have agreed because he was hoping all the exercise would turn me into an 8 stone blonde :-)

Go for it!! And let us know how you get on. I'm planning to give my local club a go in a couple of weeks when my workload clears a bit.

Hi

I do yoga too and find that it complements running really well, and is also good eg when I had a bit of trouble with lower back pain. I found a Youtube video with a routeine especially for runners and do this on rest days, do you find Yoga helpful too?

I really enjoy yoga - it stops me wanting to kill people I work with ;-)

It should be good for core strength (something I've learnt about since reading running magazines !), it certainly helps me unwind and there's a lot of mental strength involved in holding some of the poses. I think it is a really good exercise to do on rest days, between running.
