If it hadn't been for people on here telling me I could do W5 R3 the I would not have had the nerve to try it. But I did, and managed to do it first time. I run with a friend, and she wouldn't have done it either if it wasn't for all you helpful souls. So thank you from both of us. Here comes Week 6...(Have to say, I do feel knackered now though!!:-))
Week 5 done! Hurrah!: If it hadn't been for... - Couch to 5K
Week 5 done! Hurrah!

You did W 5 and you'll do the next one too. You are now way over the half way point. Have faith in your running ability. Good luck next time out

I finished W5 this morning too and I feel your pain. It felt like such a jump from run 2 of week 5 that I didn't think I'd be able to do it but look at us now, we did it!!
Well done AJ2804. Have a nice rest and here's to week 6
I have just completed Run 1 Week 5 i am scared to even look at Run 2 never mind Run 3 - 😢

Well done - I felt the same way, and had to repeat the second run of week five, but the second time it was fine. I think there is definitely something in this mind over matter thing, as I did run 3 first time, even though when I first saw it was 20 mins running I nearly had a heart attack! people on here are very supportive, and assured me it was possible. Honestly, if I can do it, you can!
I have read people's posts on here just don't see how I will manage it I found week 1 difficult 😢
You will do it. I found week 1 difficult too - couldn't run for 60 seconds! Just keep going, it will happen. If you need to repeat a week to make sure you are comfortable, do - it all counts as exercise and builds your stamina. I've been doing the programme for longer than 9 weeks, and I've just finished week 5. It doesn't matter how long it takes (But don't be too scared to move on) I have noticed a big difference in my fitness level since starting (although still plenty of room for improvement!) Good luck, I know you can do it.

So now you know that it is ninety percent in your head and ten percent psychological.
Believe in yourself.

Well done. I've just done run 2 of week 5 and am not looking forward to run 3. Great achievement!
I'm about to start week 5 and the 3rd run seems like a massive jump, but have decided just to keep trying. Great to hear other people worried and acheived. Well done.
