Hey folks can any one explain why this is only for ladies. Seems a bit unfair as men have had relavtives that have had cancer and beaten it.

i have to agree with you there. was thinking the same thing earlier. maybe you should start one for blokes only
No idea, maybe it started as a breast cancer thing. Maybe you could contact them and suggest a mens only event to even things up a bit.
My partner has said the same. We've found a local park run that I think we're going to do together on Saturday, maybe look for one of those!

there are other men only 5k runs usually for prostate or testicular cancer.

I used to do a lot of work for CRUK organising a relay for life where everybody is welcome. It would take too much explaining on here, but you can read more at relay.org.uk. Alternatively, they do run quite a few 10k and half marathon events that can be found on running.cancerresearchuk.or....
