well i decided that i would do an extra run on week one to make sure that i was ready for week two... and have now decided that i'm going to do at least another one.
i struggled. it's the first time i've run (staggered) when it wasn't freezing cold and raining. i never thought i would want to dismiss the sun but it made things incredibly difficult.
my usual private running spot was taken by a smooching couple so rather than disturb them with my huffing and puffing i ran around nearby, being lapped by a couple of other joggers but for the first time i didn't care that people could see me. i just wanted to finish the bloody thing...
i feel like i may be stuck on week one forever. the third attempt was much easier, but this one was not. still chuffed i did it though.
my knees are starting to feel really sore and seize up... i'm guessing that's not a good sign?

Sorry to hear tonight wasn't a good run, maybe it was just one of those things? I'm sure your next run will be better...remember it all helps you towards your goal in the long run! Keep at it
i wasnt confident for my first run of week 2 (completed yesterday) but was advised from others here to give it a try. I am glad I did, it worked and given me that little bit more confidence
It is important to remember that you are doing more than you have done before and move on when you feel you are coping with week one and you have still got a little gas left in the tank. Good luck for your next run.
thanks everybody. my knees are sore and puffy today. i don't think i could run on them. so hopefully by tomorrow evening they'll be better. otherwise i'll be taking a three day break because i'm away on thursday
Hi! This forum is great meeting other struggling week one-ers! Been on week one for 3 weeks and still struggling with ankle pain and out of breath-ness. I can't move on until I have completed a whole run without stopping or walking the running bits, I just don't feel ready, don't want to damage my ankles further. So frustrating! Going to be on week one forever. xx
