Took the advantage of 2 back to back sunny days, after 2 weeks or running in grey miserable conditions to get the last 2 runs done. Yesterday's run was great, and I felt like a cow in spring pasture, with my longest run to date... Today was different. Got up in the morning, sun was shining, legs felt great, until about 10 minutes in, when the previous day's efforts caught up with me. Just dug in, and plodded through the rest of the run. My slowest run ever, but still enjoyable!
I have a plan for the forthcoming weeks. 0500 runs along Aberdeen beach before work twice a week (might see a sunrise if I'm lucky...), with a longer run at the weekend, along the Moray Firth (plans to revisit my old walking routes). But never, ever, will I consider back to back runs for a while!!!

I started off treadmill running before work, while in the US. It set me up nicely for the day.
I am a natural lark, and usually wake up with the sun (which is around 4am in the summer...).
I tried an after work run last week, and really struggled, so reverted back to my morning runs and enjoyed it (plus not too many people around at that time of the morning...)
Well done. Runs vary so much. Sometimes I am raring to go and I have to drag myself round. Other times, I am sluggish and tired and when I get out, it feels amazing. Just putting in the run times regularly is all we need to do - a run is always fantastic once it is done
