I've completed run 3 of week 5 at the end of last week, Just wondering how my pace is for this stage... I covered just under 3km in the 20 minutes. How does that compare to others on here?

How far should I be going for Run 3 week 5?
I'm doing about the same, I thought i was the slowest runner in the world, but now I don't care, just glad to keep going! doing wk 6 run 3 tomorrow so see how far 25 mins takes me!
I think the general advice is not to worry about the distance at this stage (this suits me well, as I found I wasn't even reaching 3k after 28 minutes!!). They say you will naturally speed up if you keep doing at least 30 mins three times a week after you graduate....I'm just about to start my post-grad studies (!) but I can say that my km pace has definitely improved since I first did the longer runs. The post-C25K podcast (currently in road-testing!) has some running to the beat to get you speeding up for intervals, though I've yet to try it out. It will all happen, though, so don't fret!
I'm not worrying about it :). Just curious...
I agree with Juicydee, don't worry about the distance at this point. The main thing is that you're running for 20 mins- such an achievement!
And if you keep up the same pace (roughly 7min per km) you're set to reach 5km in 35min, which is fantastic. I was around this speed when i finished, 5 weeks later I'm down to an average of 32mins (on a good day!)..... although it took me 40mins on sun with a hangover!
Just follow the programme til you can run for 30 mins & after that you can focus on your speed & distance.
