I never thought I'd say this but I actually enjoyed tonight's run. I was really keen to go out but was slightly wary that it was going to be a killer because I was looking forward to it and I then end up disheartened, but it was ok! I felt a bit more like a 'runner' although running along a rural path in the dark whilst trying to avoid dog poo and stay upright was quite entertaining!! Probably more so for the cars driving past!
I must say a big thank u to a friend who has inspired me to give this a go, I never thought that I would get this far and still have motivation but I do! Roll on week 3! :o)

Well done A friend had recommended the programme to me too just as I was starting out on my own...best thing ever!
Good luck with week 3...just keep dodging the dog poo (I live in town and that's one of my challenges too!)
well done gingystrider (loving the name) glad your enjoying it as well as doing it that makes it a whole lot easier, keep blogging your progress, its a great motivator reading the blogs on here and chatting to others doing the same thing
It definately helps talking to others and seeing how successful others have been! May not be so enthusiastic on my next run but trying to learn to enjoy the moment rather than worry about what might be later :o)
