Hi folks, Just wanted to update you all on my progress (!) since graduating last week........Well Monday I ran on my own, without Laura and It was horrible!!! I realised I miss her little interruptions :( Anyway, only managed 22 minutes and that was a struggle. So yesterday I decided on the suggestion of a friend to go for a cycle with her......OMG! I nearly died, my legs seized up and I puffed like a good un, Tomorrow it's down to the gym for a bit of treadmill training :) I am not going to give up, I won't let myself down !!!! Next week is a new week and a new beginning!!!!!

Keep going - you can do it! I don't have Laura anymore, but I have an app on my phone that tells me the time every 5 minutes, and the distance, and I find that helps me. It's not quite so motivating. Maybe you could just keep on using the podcasts until you feel confident on your own. I had a terrible run on Monday too and was dreading today's run so much that I hardly slept last night. But today turned out to be amazing - you just have to take each day as they come and try not to be put off by a bad run. x

Keep running with Laura!

I did, and mixed up the weeks to not get bored with the music(use the warm up and cool down as apart of the running section) In fact I still run with Laura every now and again if things aren't going that well, a year on!

I kept running with Laura and repeated week 9 for another 2 or 3 weeks to build up my stamina. Now I listen to radio 2 and Chris Evans!

I'm ashamed to admit I deleted her! Yes, I know it's shameful and I deserve to go to hell but I was just so happy to have finished that I did it and am now regretting it :( I think maybe I'll get her back and start again, thanks people

! xx

I managed a full 5k on Monday with Laura, I went 4 minutes into the cool down walk. On Wednesday I had my own music, 30 mins of the Black Eyed Peas, only managed 4.7k I was knackered, ran (jogged) too fast. So for me it's back to Laura and week 9 until I have completed my Sport Relief 3 miles on 25th March. PatButcher you've done really well just keep up the good work, get Laura back and onwards you go :-)

Wow! Well done on your 5k, and thankyou for the encouragement, it really does help. Went for a run today and it was way better but next time I'm bringing Laura with me again :)
