blinkin Laura!

So it would appear I have been on some kind of a alternative space/time continuum for practically 2 yes 2 years! Lots has obviously been going on ... all requiring my total devotion of time, energy and commitment ;-)

I conquered the Sumatran Jungle in September 2015 - for which I had returned to the gym with a Personal Trainer to work on my stamina oooooooh - returned with a few scary stories of Pythons in camp and spiky b**t**d trees.

So ready for my next challenge I hit Bali for a 2 week trip with 3 other females. The only true exercise I got there was a 3am start to trek to see the sunrise from a Volcano summit ... and a big sleep on the journey back to hotel!

My Cuba trip for the following month was cancelled & The S A D s really kicked in - no training, no fresh air, even my special light lamp wasn't improving my mood & Laura was lost to me :-(

Where I live there emerged a fast-growing C25K community, they posted on FB, they organised themselves into groups of beginners, lapsed-but-willing-to try-againers and completely addicted to P'ers (Park Runners & Personal Besters). I've monitored their progress over the months, many have now run their 1st Half Marathons! Even her next doors has made it through to week 8 now!! Yay to them all xx

So why am I posting? I'm about to try again ... I've the podge & stodge of Winter to shift, I've had my passport ring-fenced temporarily by family ... and I got myself a new piece of technology to entice me back out there :-D

Thanks JaySeeSkinny I am already a virtual member (I've not posted yet ...) maybe I will, but I prefer to be a bit more spontaneous than pre-arranging a group timing etc. will do :-)

Oh well done you! You sound a globetrotter! I get as far as my road end. Still, ne'er mind

Glad to hear you have the bug again. Good luck with it. You'll soon get back into it and hopefully lose the stodge. No pythons in Blighty, hopefully, but I did have to vault a huge grass snake once. Some very prickly pyracanthas though so take care!

have fun!

Hi there, welcome back! You have been busy having adventures! Are you based in Wales? you mention Crib Goch in an earlier post (I 'crawled' along there on my honeymoon in 2010!), wonderful ridge. Best of luck starting again, keep posting your progress. Do you recognise any folks from your last visit to the forum?

Wales would be a great place to be based ... I'm in rural Bedfordshire with no mountains in sight sadly. Thank you for the encouragement and yes there are some familiar names from the past, I plan to check up on their postings later tonight :-)
