This time, it's peroneal tendonitis (no, me neither 🤔😏).
Hi gang, those who know my history will know that I've spent a lot of time unable to run with one thing and another - breaking my ankle in the first lockdown being the most dramatic event. Well things started looking up this year and I got to week 7 again, when I went and kicked the leg of the bed (ouch!)
That took ages to heal, and I did a tentative week 1 run to see how I was - it seemed ok but I ended up with pain on the outer ankle joint over the following week which didn't go away. So I booked an appointment with a physio, and the good news is, he thinks it's fixable. The bad news is, he doesn't want me to run on it for another 6 weeks. I've got lots of stretches to keep me occupied and loosen up tight calf muscles. Luckily, I can manage my Zumba gold and Pilates classes now, which will stop me going up the wall. They say that patience is a virtue...
