day 1 done

I used to run pre-sprogs.... ran 2-3 x a week, 5-8k for maybe 5 years... then stopped when I became pregnant. Child 1 is now 12, and I'm C25K-ing! Annoyed as I clearly can't take back up straight where I left off, but at least back on it!!!!

Welcome back... do please check out the How to Post...just as a refresher... and take a look around at some of the new links!

Many of us have repeated bits or all of the plan! It is so familiar and fun when you get going ! You will be getting plenty of strength and stamina with the small people, but there is some great advice there for busy parents!

Do, please keep posting, we are each other's best supporters... Looking forward to seeing you here with your posts !

Slow and steady as you go!

and that’s what counts Snailtorocket ..you’re back on it, working towards that goal gradually..I am sure, given your past activities, you’ll have no trouble reaching those targets again 😊

Good for you. As a former Graduate, I have completed C25K previously (running at a snail’s pace) but fallen back into bad and lazy ways. W1R1 on New Year’s Day and W1R2 earlier this evening. Like you, I know I can do this, just need to remain motivated. My goal is to participate in an Easter Parkrun at Poole Park so fingers crossed that an injury doesn’t get in my way! Anyone else with a similar aim?

Week 1 completed today! My rocket seems to be coming back 🤣.... the 60 second bursts went by in no time today! Roll on week 2! Am fitting runs between work days as I am out from 7 to 18:30 on work days and then have family to sort in the evenings, so have had 2 rest days between each run so far. I used to do my runs early evening 13+ years ago, and it still feels like the natural time for me to do it.
