Just completed my w9r2 and although a fairly uneventful run and not quite the 30 minute distance of Wednesday evening, I still got one of those major highs at completion. I guess it's the excitement of the finishing post π
Covered a respectable 4.4k in my 30 mins so still very happy with that.
So here's to the weekend and my final run before graduation.
Happy running everybody π

Oooooh, it's getting exciting now! When is the big day, Sunday? Good luck, not that you'll need it. You should be so proud of your achievements already, but come graduation, you will be elated. π
Thanks Sutsha, yes the plan is to go for a nice early Sunday morning run and spend the rest of the day feeling on top of the world.
Definately very proud of how far I've come so far and knowing that graduation is just the begining of a life of running gives me so much more too look forward to.π
Thank you Oldfloss, your in my thoughts at the start of each run now, I find myself thinking "Let's start this off at a nice slow pace that even Oldfloss would be proud of". Ok there does seem to be a subconscious change in pace after about 5 minutes that i then sit comfortably at for the rest of the run, but your slow and steady advice at the start is worth its weight in gold.
Sounds good to me... I do, ( believe it or not:), often start with a small incline to make myself start off slower.... and then, when that pace, that is your own happy pace, sets in... it is terrific...
Thank you Jay, it's following all the wonderful posts by people like you good self that's helped spur me on and believe in myself that little bit more.Keep up the good work, your doing great, can't wait to join you as a graduate runner ππββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
Well done to you Alan, my name is also Alan, Almorr is short for ALan MORRison, just a name I use as my username. I also completed R2 of week 9 this afternoon around 2 pm, to be exact from 1.50 to 2.20. just like you it was a bit uneventful, only met a family walking and they called out when I passed, 'slow down'. LOL, I was not going all that fast, I only had my normal watch with me so I was not too bothered this time about my pace. So for both of us, our graduation run has come, for you, it's on Saturday OR Sunday, for me, it is on Monday.
Thank you Alan. Yes I will be setting out in the morning for my graduation run. I've not really obsessed over distance throughout this journey , just completing the runs has been reward enough. Saying that I have tracked this week out of curiosity.
Given that I'm not far off the 5k distance, I will be completing that distance tomorrow regardless of how long it takes me, just so that I can say to myself "I can do it".
Good luck with your run on Monday (although I'm sure you don't need luck), I'll be watching in anticipation for your victorious post.πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
