Found this run strangely difficult. I'd hoped the 5 min, 8 min, 5 min would be a breeze after a continual twenty minutes on Monday. But I was puffing and panting all the way tonight. Although I ran near home this evening, which has lots of inclines.
Glad it's done, feeling pretty good. Very pleased with myself that I'm sticking to it. But honestly, does this running malarkey ever get easier ?

Hello mummybowles, I did warn you to be careful regarding runs 1 and 2 of week 6 after the non stop 20 minutes run of week 5, yes after that run many runners are tired after run 1 of week 6 despite them taking it slow and steady, however, I think you will be less tired after you run the second run of week 6 which is the last run with a few short walking breaks.Have a good rest tomorrow before you run on Friday, drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration, good luck ✅✅🏃
You were right Al ! The tiredness I suppose is because the heart rate is up and down with the internal runs. I'll definitely hydrate before the next run - thank you
Same here, it left me doubting myself but rest assured you will be fine - I did run 2 today! Not sure about Al's comments about being less tired though! Just woke from a 30 minute nap! Not sure if it's the run or taking my Mum out shopping all afternoon 😉. Keep going MB you've got this!! We've got this!! 👍👍
You're one run ahead of me - keep it up Richard. At this rate, we will graduate together just before Christmas. What better gift could we give our heart and lungs !!
Thank you OF. I'm hoping that after graduation and with consolidation, the 30 minute runs become second nature. But I suppose we still have to constantly challenge our bodies so they don't become used to one level of exercise. But I'll think about that more post-graduation.
Hi MB, very well done on your continuing progress!
That's interesting about challenging our bodies further... I've just(!) stuck to 30 minute runs three times a week since graduating a little over 6 weeks ago, plus one Parkrun; I don't intend doing much more really, but then I think I'm a lot older (and achier!) than you! 😂
Well done for getting it done mummybowles! I remember finding the return to intervals surprisingly challenging when I last completed C25K so you’re not alone in finding it tricky. Onwards and upwards though, the easier moments will come ☺️ You’ve got this!
