So so very disappointed as this is the first one I haven't managed to do. I'm putting it down to experience and will skelp it on Saturday. Hey ho.

Skelp??!! New word to me lol

I struggled on my week 9 run 2 today. Had a few nights disturbed sleep so putting it down to that.

Everyone has a bad day. The point is to dust yourself off and keep trying. Good luck x

After W5R3 most people think W6R1 is going to be easy. If you look through this forum you'll find lots of people found it harder than expected - I know I did.

I'm sure you'll be fine next time.

Yep, Week 6 is a tricky one, chalk it down to experience Jake. You know what to expect now , so try and put it behind you , it is do-able, so don't worry xxx

Don't worry - don't forget any run is better than no run. You will be ready for it on saturday and we will there cheering you on the way

The curse of W6 strikes again... It's not just you, many of us struggled with this. Give it another go I'm sure you'll be fine. Good luck.

We don't allow the fail word on here! You got out, you gave it a go - its bound to be better next time. Possibly the trickiest week!

Yup, you didn't fail, you just went for a run that wasn't quite as long as you'd planned - happens to all of us, especially on week 6...next time you'll get there

You only fail when you go on the couch instead of a run.

Runs don't always go to plan, but neither does life!

Better luck next time, and with the wisdom of your not as long as planned first attempt. you'll nail it. Just remember, slow, slow and slower still!

Happy running!

Yep I'm with the others on no to the 'f' word - 5 weeks of achievement are not wiped out by an off day hun.

You're doing it !!

You'll smash it next time because now you want it ;)

Good luck

Week 6 strikes again. It did the same to me. Now you really know what to expect, you'll do it!

Hi Jake - a bad run is better than a "no-run-day" so at least you got out there and attempted it. What can I say about week 6? Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I found the transition between week 5 to 6, and then week 6 to 7 such a struggle, but I got there!

You now know what's coming up for this run, so the next time you go out just slow it all down and I'm sure you'll "crack it"! Let us know how you get on.

Good luck :)

As everyone had said it happens to us all mine was week 6 run 2 just out of the blue I stopped and couldn't carry on. Not sure if you are able to do what I did but when I went out again after a couple of days rest I ran the route in the opposite direction so that I would not be in the same place at the same time where I stopped previously that way the mind games don't kick in. Good luck on your next run you will do it.

I'm with the others - no such thing as a Fail!! And I really struggled with W6R1 as so many of us did - after the euphoria of W5R3 I just didn't expect it to be so damn difficult!! But, you weren't sitting on the couch, you were out there but just not quite as long as you wanted to be. I usually find that after a run like that, the next one is brilliant so I hope the same goes for you too! Let us know how it goes - we shall all be here to cheer you on! xx
