The last 2 runs of wk 7 were not enjoyable and I can't fathom out why. I didnt stop but I struggled and its set me back a bit in terms of motivation. Now I can't seem to face week 8 run1. Help!! How do I get my mojo back.?

Lost mojo
You are so far through the programme I think you could take a side step, take a couple of days off then just go for a run, warm up well, 5 minutes isn't always enough, then start really slowly, listen to some favourite music or a podcast, when you feel the need to stop have a think about why? Legs? Lungs? Mind? And once you are sure it's time to stop then turn round and walk home. You might surprise yourself, you might find a time running that is comfortable and can repeat that a few timers before pushing forward.
All running is beneficial so it doesn't matter if you don't quite make the minutes for the week you are on, if you continue to go out and run you will catch up with yourself soon enough and be able to finish the last couple of weeks
Just done wk8 run 1 and it was great!! I may just have my mojo back. I was more hydrated and took a steady pace. Can't believe im this far ahead in the program. Thanks for the inspiration!!
Congratulations to you Teacher23 on getting to week 7 of C25K, however, you say that you didn't enjoy those 2/25 minute runs and have lost your mojo, perhaps you are running too fast or are not hydrated, you must drink a lot of water, for run 3 of week 7 take a extra day off running, drink plenty of water and run that third run a little slower than the previous two, good luck.✅🏃
Please don't give up. Week 7 is definitely the worst week in the whole programme. Get your head down, grin and bear it, and some time during week 8 it'll dawn on you that you've become a runner.
Mojos, like gremlins, hide under your running shoes. They usually vanish when you put your shoes on!
Some runs are just some runs... for whatever reason, You hydrated well, you ran again and .. da dah ...back on track with a great run!
Slow and steady is the way, rough with the smooth. Being Kind you yourself is key ... well done to you!
When you’re new, it’s easy to panic a bit when runs don’t feel great-especially when it happens two or three times in a row. With the benefit of just running more, you’ll find that that’s just what happens sometimes. You haven’t done anything “wrong”. Some runs are just tough. This is normal! These runs really work on your mental toughness when you’re not enjoying your run but you want to finish it-that’s such an important skill to have,
I absolutely hated week 7. I think I was tired of the programme and ready for it to finish. When I started week 8, there was a bit of a boost because the finish line was in sight. I didn’t do anything special-just kept showing up and the better runs came back.
This will happen over and over again as you carry on running! Having tougher runs makes you appreciate the good ones. Good luck!
Even the most seasoned runners have days where their legs just don’t want to do it! Just have a couple of days rest then get back out there your mojo will come back promise 🙏🏼
