Hi everyone my mojo disappeared! After a month of not running I donned the trainers on Tuesday...erm no lol legs weren't having it and neither was my head! 15 minutes in legs gave out and I slunk home sulking. So i should be out today but my mind still doesnt agree! I should have graduated 2 weeks ago in so disappointed in myself that I can't get back into it at all...any ideas anybody? 🤔

Did you try carrying on from where you left off? If so, I’d say backtrack a week or 2 to build your fitness back up

Sorry..... you ran for 15minutes on Tuesday? So you haven't lost too much fitness then. How about choosing a run that you feel confident with and picking up the programme from there

No excuse; No choice; JUST GO!

C'mon, you can do this :)

So, once you had RUN for 15 minutes, did you think to have another run once you had a walking break? I think you would have surprised yourself at what you are really capable of.

Oooo, I was thinking about you this morning CB27LJ10 ....I wondered where you were & now I know!! You say you ran for 15 mins? 15 mins you say?? So you haven’t lost much fitness, just your mojo, well, we’re all going on a run to look for quirkybee ’s mojo because hers has gone missing too...sounds to me like you need to be coming out with us...why don’t you go back to W6R2.....?? I think you are more than capable of that, we’ll all be running with you...come on, we nearly lost you once before & remember how good it felt when you got back out there???? You’re head was clear & your legs were free...take that feeling out with you xxx

Hey, hey, hey, stop that, we can't have you sulking!

We all have runs when things just don't go right. You ran for 15 mins, you couldn't have done that a few weeks ago.

If you haven't run for a while why not go out intending to run 15mins (or less) and when you feel ready start building up again. This program isn't a competition, it's only you that matters so take it slowly and you'll soon be feeling more positive.

Keep smiling, keep running and let us know how it goes.

Good luck!

15 mins of running is great! Especially to have been off a month! I like the suggestion to backtrack a little bit, maybe to week 6! You can do this!!! :) We are all behind you!

It's ok. 15 mins, walk break and stretch, 5 or 10 mins, walk break and stretch, 5 or 10 mins, cool down. After two or three of those you'll be back where you were, promise. You only fail if you sit back down on the couch. It's just a few runs before all is as it was...

Be kind to yourself, you're not such a long way behind, maybe re-establish the regular running habit, by doing whatever it was you did before. You haven't run for a while but still managed 15 minutes... that's 15 minutes more than a lot of folk.

Do you want to check in here before you go or post afterwards? - either way we'll cheer you on. Do you want to buddy up with one of us, so we synchronise the day when we run. Generally I do Tues, Thurs and Saturday - I'm happy to be your virtual nagger - (there are many members of my family who would claim it's not so virtual either).

Mojos can and do go missing, but they hide near trainers, the more often they get out of the cupboard, the happier they are!

Mummycav is right, we nearly lost you once and we don't want to again. Happy running next time out (because I believe you will go out again soon!)

Not what you're looking for?
