First attempt at post!

W6R2 just done. Been really unwell for 10 months with anxiety, not able to breathe or move (physical causes ruled out with tests). I am 50, unfit and borderline healthy/overweight. Am going sooo slow though. A lovely poster recently said you can't go too slow, I have doubled speed since I started (like snail to tortoise)... would it still help?

sounds like amazing progress already. It really doesn’t matter about speed and like you said you are already a bit quicker. Try to enjoy and go at a pace you feel comfortable. Take care

🍏 How wonderful that you are able to run! A run is a run & we encourage slow and easy!! Every run is formulated to build on the last one. Your muscles, lungs and mental resolve will all get stronger with every run. You can repeat any run & take extra rest days if you want to. To have nearly finished week 6 is excellent progress and hopefully helping your anxiety. Well done 👏

Slow running is the way to benefit without getting injured, I'm coming back from illness and doing short slow runs during my walks, and it's making a difference, you are doing so well

Slow and steady is the way to go! Pace will come with consistency.

Well done on getting to Week 6 Run 2.

Keep us posted…

There really is no need for speed with Couch to 5K. It's all time based, with no obligation to cover any particular distance to complete it.

You have my sympathies for the anxiety. People who don't experience it (or in my case have someone they love suffer from it) have no conception of how utterly debilitating it can be. I hope that running helps for you.

Thank you so much, everyone. I'll carry on and do my best.

And it is definitely improving the anxiety!
