Just completed week 5 run 3. I’d been dreading stepping up to 20 minutes running, however, not as bad as I had been expecting. All in the head!!!
Starting again after being diagnosed with rectal cancer and undergoing a colostomy operation in May. I was feeling pretty down for a while, thought useful life was practically over but since starting running again I’m feeling much better (about everything!!!). taking things quite slow (I’m 63) but enjoying every run. When the going gets tough - start running 👍

🍏 You have certainly been through the mill!! (and still are, caring for your wife) What strength of character to come through it and take up running!! Well done on 5:3 you won’t look back now! Once you know you can do it & the feel good factor kicks in, nothing stops you! Hopefully you have some great music or podcasts to listen to as the runs get a bit longer. Do keep in touch & let us know how things are going. I will add a link for you to check out in due course! 🏃♂️ 🎶🙌
