I didn’t bother with music while I was doing C25k as I enjoy listening to birdsong and stuff. But I decided I needed a structure to follow so downloaded the first follow up to C25k podcast. It’s fantastic, as I’m sure many of you know. I was a bit worried when Laura said that i would need to follow a prescribed pace, as I am very slow, but it turned out fine so I guess I must have been running at about 150 beats per min, which is the starting pace. I really enjoyed running to the beat and amazingly found it easy to keep up with the gradual increases in speed. So chuffed. My legs seemed to have turned into someone else’s about 20 minutes in - someone who can run! Even if it never happens again it was a great feeling. Sooooo pleased to have found a continuation programme I enjoy as much as C25k. And my pin badge arrived in the post to cap it all off. Deep joy.

I think I'll try those podcasts next. I am set to graduation in 9 days but I love having the structure of a program.
