Hi gang, reporting in after completing week 4. Every run was on the little lane next to the field and I've been watching the field get slightly greener each day. Blackthorn blossom is beginning to show and I've been able to run much later because it's still light in the afternoon! Yay!I've been hoping to try out a different route but everywhere is is so sodden after all the rain that I decided to keep it simple and stick to the tried and tested route.
The 5 minutes run seemed to go on forever on day one and my Garmin couldn't tell when I was running or walking🥴
But by day 3 I was starting to get the measure of it. Felt quite sluggish though and was glad when it was over.
But then when my stats came through, it turned out I was going faster over the 5 minute runs than for the 3 minute runs. What was I playing at?! 😅
I was also hoping to say that I'd started on week 5, but I seem to have accidentally spent the day gardening instead, so I'll need to get out tomorrow, no excuses!

Sounds like you’re doing very well, and ready for week 5 with more spring in your step than you thought..
A bit of a theme of “accidental gardening” developing today.. you and me and limberlou ! I’m also thinking I’ll probably run tomorrow.. as the forecast is rain again after glorious sunshine today
We've got rain forecast for earlier so I'll wait for it to stop but then I've really got to get on with it. I'll try not to look at the garden, I've left mounds of ivy and honeysuckle waiting to be cleared up. Might leave it as a treat for Mr grumpy 😁🏡👩🏼🌾🌿
🍏🙌👍Glad you looking forward to it a bit! Have a fab run today! Beautiful photo … that rich colour … how glorious to be runners in an English Spring! Week 5 here you come! 😊 xx
Well done you... I had weird stats on my last run this week too... Garmin had me at 40 minutes... 4.64k and CB and my Nike guided run at 5+ k in 46 minutes.. go figure...
But hey ho...you had a good run and you feel as if you are getting back into it! How lovely too, to have that seasonal marker of a field to watch... The blooms and the blossom, lightening your steps to warmer, Spring running!
Yes I gardened instead of running but had to make the most of the weather, new home has neglected garden. Grass took one strim and two mows to get it down so may be kind and not run for another day 🤔
