🍏 Well done on getting almost 3 weeks into the program & welcome to running & the forum. Presuming with your upcoming surgery you have the go ahead to run. Strengthening your core with Stretch & flex will help both your running and your abdominal muscles. You may not necessarily be running 5K at graduation but you will be able to run for 30 mins 3x a week with all its inherent blessings. I will pop in some links to our FAQ & to our strength & flex program. Let us know how you get on .

thank so much, I’ll have a good read. I’ll have to test for a few weeks but I’ll get advise before restarting running and ease myself back into it.

HiKB1969. Congratulations for completing 2 weeks! I nearly completed the programme but was struck down with a flu, then Covid, then Bronchitis. I don’t know if was down to running in shorts, a t-shirt and a flimsy running jacket over winter but I think it probably was. I don’t think I am as qualified as others on the forum but would say to make sure you are warm enough when you go out for a run. I wish you all the best with your journey and I hope your surgery goes well for you. All the best!
